Target Audience: Beauty industry professionals, salons and spas, industry related businesses, cosmetology schools and students plus related fashion industry partners are the primary attendees and participants. Marketing will be expanded in 2008.
NEW EXPOSURE: The Expo will open to the general public from 2:30 – 5:30pm for fantasy viewing, cosmetology career opportunities, salon showcase, retail sales and the awards ceremony.

Description and history of event: Get Connected Events has produced the event since its inception in 2000. The event is known in Colorado and surrounding states as the only regional hair, skin and nail show focused on promoting and celebrating beauty industry careers, salon success and personal creativity through education, networking and technical competitions. The event appeals to all beauty industry partners – it’s the one show that “connects” the entire industry.

From show open to close, the 30,000 square foot Douglas County Events Center bustles with excitement: student and professional technical competitions in haircutting, nails and fantasy, main stage entertainment, exhibitors, great show deals, new product releases, educational demos and career/networking opportunities. The festivities culminate with a cocktail party, live music and a closing ceremony recognizing the 2008 superstars of the industry. During the closing ceremony over $5,000 is awarded to competition winners, the industry honors the 2008 recipients of the Rocky Mountain Beauty Industry Awards and Get Connected Charities Network will present a donation to the 2008 recipient.

Special features/plans: The ESP (Educate, Seek, Promote) Beauty Expo will feature education and networking pods to further enhance the attendee’s experience. The event will again be host to the Student Fantasy Competition which has come to be a show favorite. New in 2008 will be the Main Stage Professional Fantasy Educational Demonstrations plus for the first time ever the Expo will be open to the public in the afternoon.
